The City of Marion is currently accepting applications for a Wastewater Operator, Police Officers (Ongoing), and Laborers/Operators/Maintenance Crew Members in our Street and Sanitation and Water Departments. However, please note that job availabilities are updated according to availability and maybe be ongoing for all city departments unless specified.

Join our Recreational Department we are seeking volunteers to assist in keeping the City of Marion an enjoyable place were our community children can perform in sports and play in our parks while soaking in Marion's scenic nature views. Come join us for baseball and basketball fun!!

B. Moore, Water Operator (Grade IV)
The Marion Water & Sewer Department is seeking contract proposals for an Industrial Maintenance Technician through February 19, 2021 to oversee the installation and maintenance of our industrial equipment at the Marion Water & Sewer Department.
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment/parts, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.
Contractors must be able to interpret engineering blueprints.
Install new production equipment.
Service and maintain equipment including motors, conveyor systems, transmission systems, and production -related equipment.
Inspect and assess the functionality of production machines.
Troubleshoot breakdowns.
Adjust parts using hand and machine tools (must have own tools).
Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades.
Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks.
Communicate with city team and leaders.
Prepare maintenance reports.
Volunteer with the Marion Volunteer Fire Department.
